Adapter has 5-1/2 in square top with rubber pad, on 1-1/4 thread adjusts from 7 to 10 inches. 

(The bottom is not flat, it is angled… I know it seems strange to have to say that, but some people look at this image and think the bottom is flat. It slips over a Globe In-Ground Flip-Up adapter that is in the 45-degree angle. Smitty)
